After a heart pounding trek through thick brush down into the dense forest, I finally appeared standing over a steep cliffside, the prominent pine covered islet silhouetted against a churning North Pacific Ocean! When I saw this composition, it took over my impulse to search as I knew I found something special! I sat in the quiet taking long exposure shots of this wild coast until dusk.. Something I won’t soon forget!

This composition features one of the most spectacular super blooms I have ever seen of the Temblor Range. The mountain side carpetend in yellows, purples, oranges and more. While this mountain range is normally dried up, parched and dead, on this special occasion life was certainly a spectacle to behold!
