EMERALD COAST
One of the most incredible attributes of shooting the coast is that it is always changing. One day there’s hundreds of metric tons of sand on a beach only to have it washed away in a few days due to a large storm. This was the case when I shot this image of “Emerald Coast”. A strong low pressure system blew through the coastal communities and washed away much of the beaches, creating huge sand bars. This emerald mossy covered stone is normally covered by sand and on this day, I captured it uncovered. What a treat and a rare sight to behold.
