Evening in the Sky

When I first came upon this scene I was out of breath from an intense, long and very steep hike! However, as steep and as difficult as the hike may have been, nothing could have prepared me for this scene. These beautiful silver bush lupines were in the peak of their bloom and adorned the emerald cascading hills like little jewels strewn about at random. Catching the remaining rays of light, they were set aglow in the remnants of day.  I sat there, composing myself and this image.  Quite honestly, still breathless at the beauty of this perfect moment!

Catching the last remaining rays of light, they were set aglow in the last remnants of day and I sat there composing myself and this image, quite honestly still breathless at the beauty of this perfect moment!!
