FORGOTTEN COAST

This captivating little bay stands out strikingly amongst the rugged Hana coastline. I had ventured here many times before to try to capture this composition with the right lighting, however each attempt was forlorn with poor conditions. On this one morning, I awoke at 4:00 AM and began the drive in thick fog and rain. As I approached the destination, the rain slowed a little and began to mist. I walked to the beach and my feet sunk deep into the black lava rock sand as the waves violently rushed up the beach! It was on this trip that I captured what I was after! The dark moody skies contrasted perfectly with the white seafoam rushing past the black lava sand!
