Hidden within the silent groves of giant redwoods, lay a plant which appears ordinary for most of the year. In dry years, this plant never changes its appearance. Only after significant rainfall, followed by lots of sunshine, you might get lucky enough to find the cham of rhododendron bloom! After chasing after the right conditions for several years, I finally got lucky with my persistence and captured them in full bloom amongst the fog and giant redwoods. The feeling of enchantment is almost too surreal to describe. Nature puts spectacular shows at times that appear to defy reality and come from heaven! The brilliant pink of these lovely blossoms cut through the soft light and contrast significantly against their backdrop. These rhododendrons are one of the most wonderful sights in nature.
