JOSHUA’S MAJESTY

While chasing storm cells across the desert, it seemed that every cell was outrunning me or that I was getting into position, only to run out of back country dirt roads to chase these storms. Finally after chasing storms all day, this one cell was lining up to be in a perfect position! After racing down old unimproved roads trying to get in front of the storm, everything came together! I got out of the truck with my camera and ran vigorously across the flats dodging cactus and trees looking for the perfect composition as the cell was going off, cracking lightning every few seconds! The sun was about down and the stars were starting to appear when this shot was composed. Still to this day, this is one of my standout memories.
