One of my most challenging desires when I capture unique landscapes is to do so with a feeling of being untouched by human influence. While some of my images will have something man made within them, I strongly desire to experience the world as it once was. Laguna Beach is a tough place to find compositions which truly allow one to feel isolated or without the mention of mankind’s influence upon the land. This particular image I feel really exudes a special kind of emotion. An emotion that harkens back to a time of old Laguna and a stretch of enchanting untouched coastline. The native agave taking root close to the rocky shoreline, waves cascading across the intertidal rock coast and a perfect summer sunset with light bursting from under distant rain clouds… A feeling of Laguna all unto its own!
