LET THERE BE LIGHT

Mid-afternoon had me running to the beach on the North Shore of Kauai on this day; well before I normally depart to chase light in fact! The clouds billowed above, fat and happy, with gentle winds and crystal clear waves gently lapping the coral shores. I stood in knee deep water without a water housing on my camera, shooting these jeweled little waves with a super-fast shutter. I spent the better part of the afternoon playing a game of cat and mouse searching for the right composition and I believed we pulled it off. Simple elements oftentimes represent more of my core beliefs. When you stick to basics, you find your best material and with this image, I feel I bring to you a calling that echoes a part of who I am.
