LONE OAK

I had been chasing this storm across dirt roads for the better part of the day, trying to anticipate its direction to get in a good spot for a composition; however, it seemed to shift across the plains all day! I must have driven a hundred miles chasing this massive cell. Finally, I was able to find this small pond that framed the clouds perfectly! The light that emanated through was a sight I dreamed of! It was soft, yet overwhelming and full of drama. As I sat there composing this shot, tiny raindrops hit my skin, as moo cows bellowed in the distance and I felt so very alive! This life we live is simply so amazing, I was very appreciative of that moment!
