Moment of Peace

This image is the work of many, many years of seeking out the correct timing of this heather bloom! Finally, after failing several years, I decided to arrive before peak bloom and sit through the entire bloom until they were past peak. This process took a couple weeks of checking in on them regularly until the perfect day of their fullness and color were in a uniform crescendo across this small alpine basin! With the light perfectly kissing the distant mountain, I captured this dramatic image of a small little place tucked away with an intimate scene that will live etched within me forever.
