MOONSHADOW

While trying to briefly rest my eyes, I lay in my truck with childlike anticipation of the parting of this great winter storm! I was in the right place at the right time and there was two feet of fresh snow on the ground. It was nine degrees outside as I strapped on my gaiters and microspikes for a literal walk through a winter wonderland! At two in the morning the storm broke and I could see the moon shining brilliantly across the valley. I was the only one awake and there to bear witness to this rare snowy, full moon event and I couldn’t have been any happier with the shot as I set up my tripod to capture the moment.
