NEW DAWN

It had rained all night long and I had been anticipating first light all night. The rain continued to fall into the early hours of morning as I sat wide awake at 3:00 AM hoping that it might lighten up for some beautiful morning light to come through if it would stop. Just as dawn approached, the rain all but quit! I sat there in the dark waiting for the right moment for the skies to clear just enough to compose the shot! As the sun made its way into the dawn sky, it began to light up and a small bit of fog began to sweep gently across the lake, as if giving me a gift! I felt fortunate to be alive and full of purpose!
