This remote lake in Canada has a very rare and unreal moment that happens when frozen methane bubbles freeze under the lake at different depths. The brutal windy conditions and temperatures that reached below zero were tough to navigate in setting up this composition. I was completely covered in layers from head to toe and had to anchor myself into the ice so my equipment wouldn’t blow away. This is what it’s all about. This is why I absolutely love capturing these incredible moments in time.
