PEACEFUL EMBRACE
After droves of rain had hit the coast hard, I had prayed for a break in the weather at dawn. The gray of morning arrived and it was still raining, yet lightened considerably. My hopes were up and I hiked in silence with my son, Wyatt, admiring all the colors in the forest and the beautiful rhododendrons that seemingly took center stage over the landscape. After a pleasant hike through this old redwood grove, we came to our destination. With light fog moving through the trees and a fairytale path, I composed this image with a happy heart.
