Quiet Isle

Our helicopter pilot made several passes high above this magical landscape as I experimented with angles of the shot, trying to find the best possible vantage point for the composition. The light was shining bright onto the motu making the turquoise-colored ocean accentuate the corals below and the moody sky over the distant island adding depth to the capture. With several passes, the wind had finally calmed long enough for us to be 250 ft. above the ocean and directly behind this small motu. Luckily, we were fortunate that the weather cooperated for us to get such a unique shot in such an idyllic and remote corner of the world!
