This image of Hanakapi’ai Falls is one I have envisioned for some time now. The way the waterfalls here is more like vapor than droplets. When you catch the lighting just right in the morning or evening, it brings this soft tone to it that is so satisfying and soothing. After hiking down a muddy trail for five hours, enduring slips and slides, all while bearing witness to some of the jungle's most brilliant colors from blooming wildflowers, we came to rest at the foot of this giant 300 ft. fall, in serene peace. No one had been around, silence aside from the roar of water falling to the shallow pool as it has for centuries.
