Sonoran Enchantment
I had been chasing storms all day with heavy rain and dangerous flash-flooding when I finally caught the break I was searching for! After a storm subsided, the sky started to open up and glow onto Picacho Peak in Southern Arizona. The warm colors of the cholla in the foreground draws your eyes into the scene. Looking at the image, you can almost smell the rain soaked creosote and feel the light start to warm you from within.
