Sukakpak Enchantment

There lays a mountain well North of the Arctic circle that has long held a special magic to me. Its steep spires and rugged peaks have for a long time held magic! Every mountain that surrounds it cannot match its sheer cliff faces and pointed spires. As far as I can recall, I have always thought about how incredible it would be to capture this mountain under the Northern Lights! After a lot of planning, lots of driving and a ton of luck on my side on this night, the aurora was one of the strongest I had ever seen! I spent the better part of two hours braving the subzero temperatures as the lights danced about overhead with an amazing display of colors and shapes! As the curtains of aurora showered downward, the coronal mass at that moment came directly overhead and began to shoot downward in dramatic spires of light! In those moments I was simply in awe as I sincerely felt a presence above me as though an angel or spiritual essence was present all around me. The moment was so profound that I have chills each and every time I talked about it since. It is with great appreciation and gratitude in my heart that I am able to share this image with you.
