The Promise

Some of the best images are ones that are unpredictable and not anticipated. This was the case in every way for this image. I was on my way this morning to do some fishing on my Son’s birthday when the rain slowed for just a moment and showed this incredible double rainbow! I pulled off to the side of the road and quickly grabbed my camera and tripod to run across the lava field, hurriedly I rushed in attempting to capture its fleeting colors before the brilliance faded away. Something I hadn’t had much luck in doing over the years, yet here on my home Island decades later, I was able to capture a moment of Hawaii and her spirit of Aloha!
