TREE OF HOPE

I draw inspiration from many things in nature. With all of the places that I travel, explore and seek out, I am emotionally intrigued most with the simple beauty and intricacies of Mother Earth. This little tree is among one of the most emotionally gripping scenes I have ever laid my eyes upon! This baby douglas fir took root atop an old fallen douglas fir, barely breaching the surface. The thing that amazes me is the fact that it took root and has clung to life on this remote lake in the Pacific Northwest, where harsh winters and many seasons can take their toll. This is one memory that won’t soon fade and proves that life will always find a way!
