Some landscapes draw you in spiritually more than others. I find that the more I travel and the deeper I connect with who I am and what I am, the more I seek out places where I need the most fulfillment. Sitting atop this desolate ridge, brought me back to a place where I was in remembrance of a time as a young boy trying to contemplate the universe and how vast it was. The funny part is that same young boy still lives within me today! As I sat here in the twilight, I saw the last faint spots of light fade from the old volcano and the beautiful Indian paintbrush blooms took the show! The sky came alive and that boyhood wonderment came shining back into view as I marveled at the magic of the world of which we live.
