Yosemite Dawn

Yosemite is simply one of those places that remain so iconic in time that the walls of the place seem to be etched in the echoes of millennia bygone. Walking through this valley almost transcends time itself and moments simply stand still. The Merced River calmly flowed with ease, not a drop of water out of place. The radiation fog drifted, as if a silent ghost moved slowly across the surface and the morning light caressed the ridges, peaks and autumn golds on each side of the river. This moment was one of awe and contemplation, one where I felt whole yet alone, warm yet cold, empty yet filled. In these moments I find that I am able to see myself in nature as we are but reflections of ourselves.
