Alpine Retreat

It had snowed all night long and I had been anticipating first light all night. The snow continued to fall into the early hours of morning as I sat wide awake at 3:00 AM hoping that it might lighten up for some beautiful morning light to come through if the snow would stop. Just as dawn approached, the snow began to white out and I could barely see anything as I made my way to this location. I sat there in the dark waiting for the right moment for the skies to clear revealing a snow-covered Mt. Wilson! As the light gently filtered through the sky, the peak autumn foliage was warm and inviting against the mountain backdrop. Simply a serene and beautiful moment of mountain magic!
