ARTIST POINT

After watching the weather for just the right window to capture a good sunrise, I had decided that I wanted to hedge my bet on the secluded Artist Point in the Navajo Nation as my focal shot for this special morning and it certainly did not disappoint! For only a brief minute or two, the sandstone lit up brilliantly against the alpenglow hitting the bottom of the low-lying clouds above! For only a short time, the landscape exploded with colors that you can only see in the desert South West and I was able to capture one of my favorite quintessential desert landscapes.
