AS ONE

In this extremely rare event, often referred to as “Scripps Henge”, the sun aligns with the end of the pier perfectly. If you are tenacious enough and plan enough you may well be lucky enough to witness it! It is fleeting and only lasts a few seconds in prime position! If you miss it, it’s gone and it will not repeat. This image was one I had attempted to plan and shoot several times, however, weather plays a huge factor in the equation. Especially since the coast is often socked in by coastal fog banks, but on this fortunate, clear spring day, I captured it perfectly!
