The thunder of the swell was relentless as it pounded up against the sharp lava rock coastline! The sound of the waves crashing mixed with the salt spray reaching up into the sky was all consuming to my every sense. I was in this secluded part of the coast because of the phenomena where the energy of one wave changes direction to meet another incoming swell. This dramatic force had created some of the most stunning drama and back waves I had ever seen. In these images, these two giants collided together and shot upward, releasing their energies upon one another in an epic display before falling back into the sea once again!
