Crystal Mill

The road was long, bumpy and in some areas a bit challenging. Nonetheless I kept going undeterred, for I knew at the end of the road lay this beautiful relic from a long bygone era! I often reflect on these moments spent alone on the road and think to myself about the connection that exists between us all and that of the innate. Places fill my heart in much the same way the people do and for each there is a reason and a purpose. This old mill was once a bustling center of activity built in 1983 called the Lost Horse Mill. It was a power generating water mill which was utilized by a nearby mining claim in removing ore from rock for nearly four decades in its time. Now I sit back and admire the ingenuity and determination in our predecessors and the amounts of effort required to survive. I believe that reflection can be the foremost form of understanding the path and where we’ve come from that ultimately is a testament to human evolution.
