ENLIGHTEN
Shot in the springtime, this image was a well thought out composition I had taken after several failed attempts. The sunset lining up with the pier occurs twice per year as the sun migrates across the sky. The Southern coast is often obscured by clouds and coastal fog, so this shot is fleeting at best and most often you are not able to get this image due to atmospheric conditions. As the old adage goes, “you never know unless you go”. With that in mind, I went and lucky for us, I came away with the shot I was after!
