FADING LIGHT

After hiking through the dunes for a while, I was able to move far away enough from any sight of man’s trace to see no footprints in the sand. It was peaceful, serene and most of all a deafening silence surrounded me with the occasional gentle desert breeze! The magic of places like these is often the way your mind translates all of the sights, sounds and textures around you. All I could feel was the beating of my heart, the sun retreating over the horizon and the Milky Way perfectly framing this yucca! It is these moments in time, when elements around us control our breathing and our heartrate; where we become calm and more connected to the earth.
