During a rare visit to one of my favorite canyons in the Southwest, I walked through this particularly high and overhanging section of this slot canyon. This composition was captured during a moment that had never yet been captured by any photographer. The light that filtered through the canyon walls was delicate and soft, yet one could imagine the flash floods over millennia that had carved these walls. Â
