While gliding through the sky right at sunrise, the entirety of Monument Valley began to glow with the alpenglow of first light! Perched outside the door of a helicopter high above Hunts Mesa, I was able to compose this shot and capture what I could only imagine if I knew how to fly or in a dream! The drama of the light dancing across the sandstone and the earth's shadow descended beyond the horizon is an enchanting memory I won't soon forget!
