I had hiked through a shower of light misting rain along the coast. I was navigating myself through the labyrinth of trees and came out above this beautiful bay. The rain squall had settled just on the distant horizon and the light shone from under the clouds revealing this ancient Hawaiian scene you see here… One of the oldest and largest Hawaiian built fish ponds, it harkens to a time of the ancients and one of civilizations first known uses of aquaculture. The scene was absolute magic and the light touching the coconut trees on the far shore took my breath away.
