After well over two decades of chasing the right conditions, I finally had my opportunity! Thick drifts of lupine covered the desert floor this spring morning among the cholla and saguaro cactus. Such a marvel of nature to see the Sonoran Desert covered in blues and purples as far as the eye could see! The glow of the rising sun upon the Western sky began to grow warm and soft, revealing a rainbow in the distance. I had the perfect moment to capture this iconic peak, a perspective I had never yet seen achieved!
