REFLECTION CANYON

My friend and master helicopter pilot, York Galland, made several passes high above this magical landscape as the sun fell behind the distant peaks. The light was mild and a gentle blue tone covered the sandstone, which made everything appear to have a subdued warm undertone that was simply breathtaking. As we wrapped around the canyon, new and unfamiliar views appeared, many of which I had never seen before! I began dropping the shutter in bursts, trying not to miss anything, but it was this single exposure that truly captivated my mind and filled my heart with how incredible this moment truly was!
