Absolutely everything had to come together perfectly for this moment to happen! I scouted this composition out and came back to it for a week until it was at its full crescendo of peak bloom! The backlit cholla just put this composition over the top! Surrounded by all of these beautiful little blue lupine blooms! Then in a very calculated instant, clicking my shutter at the absolute perfect moment to capture the accentuating sun star above the ridge… Anything more and it just wouldn’t be what it needed to be! I believe this to be one of my better artworks showcasing the capturing of light at just the right moment in time!
