TEMPLE LIGHT

While sitting in the darkness, awaiting the sun to begin rising, the wind was howling and the snow was blowing in flurries sideways, creating a cold I have seldom felt! With sunrise well past and dark clouds looming all about, there were a few small holes from which sunlight began to burst through, casting ethereal light rays across the canyon! Shadows danced as the wind blew the clouds about, with intermittent snow and light racing around. It was all I could do to keep my tripod anchored long enough to capture each exposure of this panoramic before there was inevitable movement from the wild conditions. I felt very lucky to have been able to capture this scene as it is one of those moments that you almost have to see to believe!
