Freedom, strength, and courage is what I see every time I’m placed in front of wild horses. The subtle flurries of snow falling just in front of my lens as this young colt stood on the hillside, made for the exact shot I was after. He was the last horse I captured due to the fact that as I was about ready to pack up my things, I noticed him coming up over the ridge as he stopped for a brief moment gazing out at me. The details in his dark mane to the warm air passing through his nostrils on this cold morning is a moment I’ll never forget.
