UNBROKEN

I remember watching the weather constantly as storms were predicted to hit the central deserts, which rarely gets any rain. I remember specifically the moment when I knew that a large storm cell had parked itself over this salt pan! As I began to make my way across the salt pan, the drizzle of rain had low fog clinging to the surrounding mountains. After walking about a mile, I turned around as the sun began to dimly light the landscape. The rain stopped and the clouds broke away to expose this magical composition before me. I stood there for less than five minutes, then the clouds closed in and it began to rain once more. This was one of the moments that I live for!
