Verdant Reflections

We started up the trailhead in the black of night, undoubtedly tired, wiping the sweat from my brow. We used the dim waning moonlit sky to make our way up the trail in the milky darkness. After what seemed a good while, the sky began to give way to the gray light of a new day, which broke out over the scene you see here. Catching the first rays of sunlight and not a breath of wind made for an incredible reflection upon the lake! The sky was soft and very atmospheric, which for a moment lit up creating a beautiful moment for the Indian paintbrush to steal the show with its gorgeous tones that left me speechless!
