Victorias Hideaway

VICTORIA’S HIDEAWAY

I have long envisioned capturing this Southern Laguna landmark with the right lighting and conditions. Battered by the unending waves crashing at its shoreline, stands a lonely stone turret known by locals as the “Pirate Tower”. The tower is sixty feet tall and seems to have been birthed directly from the sandstone cliffs that surround it. For residents and visitors alike, the sight of the structure and its small, unevenly shaped windows launches visions of pirates keeping their weathered eyes peeled for intruders on the sea. However, built in 1926, this tower is simply a private residence beach access point and it is registered as one of Laguna Beach’s historical buildings.
