Resting Place | Origin Edition
After hiking through a vast expanse of aspen groves, I had come to a small stream rushing off of the mountain. I sat down to take a break and wash the sweat from my brow; as I cupped water in my hands to refresh my face, I noticed this small, golden aspen leaf all on its own. It had fallen to its final resting place, holding several droplets of water and sitting gently on the surface of the stream. It was so brilliant against the background; it has bright golds and yellows and contrasted beautifully against the dark backdrop. It was there, going back to nature, in peace.
